Class Evaluation

Things I like about the class exploring computer science is that it gives me an opportunity to write. I love to writing and English class so to be able to write my thoughts is very pleasing. I enjoy the creative and educative videos that take the subjects we learn to a next dimension. There is also different things to learn every day from computers to ethics. I really love writing daily in our blog and deeper understanding each topic every other day.

There are few things that I don't like about this class. Although one of the things that I don't like are the vocabulary flash cards. Its very educative but it often takes time away from me writing in my blog. The other reason is that due to the reason I don't have a computer at home it makes it difficult for me to work on it at home. Although its not a huge issue i enjoy it and everything else that comes with the class.

Some recommendations I would have for the class is to fit the flash card into the schedule aside from the blogging time. Everything else about the class is great and in my opinion needs nothing else.

Some of the highlights I have in this class is the many creative and overflowing in information videos we watch. I enjoyed the 911 video that really helped me learn more of the event than I did before. The other video that i enjoyed is seeing when a woman had to fit rocks in a jar. This was because it gave me a different perspective on the mental part of the subject. As well as enjoying the other students share their opinions to the rest of the class.

I think i have improved in this class and have more yet to improve. When i first came in to this class it was a little challenging to learn how to write in such short amount of time. Although through practice from every other day In the class I learn to get better. Im still improving finishing early to then work on flash card machine. I personally love music also because it helps me concentrate. I think it would be a great idea to incorporate instrumental music as we are writing in our blog.

I very much love the life planning journal because it makes me give some time for my thoughts and mind to rest. I find great joy and peace from writing and to do it everyday is very nice. I try to write in the journal when i can and if i cant make it up the next day. I think that I write more in my journal than actually posting it.

Im very committed to demonstrating who God is in me. I aspire everyday to learn patience and humility. To be the person that respects others even when there not worthy of it. I try everyday and evaluate myself to be better and better every day. I do this to show others who God is and be that example to see how your life can change with God in your heart.

Innovation-electric vehicles

When you think about the simplest of the innovations on today's technology you would be amazed. One of the most captivating innovations are of the car. To be able to see and acknowledge how cars use to work and how its complexity has shaped each generation. One of the most memorable to me was the innovation of the clutch to automatic vehicles. The amount of time and thought to be able to make this advancement to vehicles is very admirable and respected. Sometimes we take for granted the amount of time it must take to create from the most important things to the simplest things. One of the big things invented to the electric vehicle where such as brakes to the radio are something to respect and acknowledge. The timeline of all vehicles are extraordinary to learn about  for example how we went from carriages to cars was a big innovation that continue to change our world. Innovators have come a long way creating electric vehicles. that use only energy. These cars are new to our society. Electric cars are continuing to be expensive and valued within the people who know the journey of cars.

Seven Habits of High Effective People

Habit 1. Be Proactive

Image result for proactiveIn the earth we have come to see that there is no effect without an action. There is a similarity with this point of view and being proactive. When you want to be an effective person achieving things, you need to take that action and be proactive in order to achieve it. Being proactive starts the journey to being the effective person you want to be. When we expect things to happen without taking initiative it usually never does happen until you start to take the first steps. When your proactive it opens the mind to different heights and goals to overcome. Although it comes hard the key is to take things slow but never stop completely or else you'll never see the effect. Pro-activity means taking control and for many people they need to take control of their life.  Once taking the step of pro activity it starts to become a habit. Sometimes its not good to have habits but the good habits are  what can create a better pave for oneself.

Habit 2.Begin with the End in Mind
Related imageIn most things in life you need to have a plan but many underestimate the details with from the beginning to the end.  Its important in order to be an effective person to be able to not just look at the things in front of you but think ahead. Doing this action can help you be prepared and organized. When having the end in mind of starting something new it helps  you execute it easily when seeing the plan fully from the start to finish. Theres a quote that goes, " Thinking before acting is wisdom but acting before thinking is regret ". This quote is very important in understanding how to begin with thinking with the end.  The quote means that starting something without thinking them through leads to not fulfilling something as it should. Secondly it talks about the consequences of not taking that time to think when taking action on something. This idea can be helpful and useful to those who struggle with this idea. Having this information can help for you to be a good leader and performer.

Habit 3. Put First Things First

Image result for priorityWhen you start a journey you need to start from the beginning not the middle nor the end of it. This is one habit to learn in order to reach your goals. The most important things come first when getting things done. Getting the first things done helps you complete the task all together. This helps you get the habit of putting priorities. When you put priorities it helps the person effectively complete a task. When you put your main priorities as first tasks to complete a lot of the other things start to fall to place. The tough things that you know are the most important are the foundations to your life. If any foundation is left undone then you will falter. A quote I read goes like this ,"Priorities can tell you a lot about a person". This quote is a portions of the way people can view you if you put priorities first.

Habit 4. Think win-win
Image result for humilityThink to win win means having the mindset that you do to others what you would have them do to you. It means a compromise with another person. This action will help you be an effective person because it shows you to be strategic in you actions. In order to take such actions one can learn about humility. To be able to seek another's interests to accomplish something. The process of doing so can make the mind think positively. Enabling the mind to not put barriers to its goals can give a greater mentality. Horace Mann made a statement  "we do our self the most good doing good to others" that ties well with the idea that benefiting from another can help reach success. This quote says that when we help others its a win for us in return. Wining can be a way of greed but when we do so helping and at the same time benefiting others it brings more value to the action. The act of selflessness is key to achieving our goals and being an effective person.

Habit 5. Seek first to understand than to be understood

Image result for understanding othersThe first thing to remember when your trying to be an effective person is to listen to others. When your open to other opinions you are opening your understanding of what you don't know. Identifying that you don't know everything makes you open to learning. Its good to have a strong opinion but in order to be that effective person you need to be able to listen to others too. The phrase ," seek first to understand than be understood " , is also meaning before wanting others to listen to your knowledge hear others first to be able to either learn from them or teach them something. When you input this in you life you learn to be humble by being lenient. Being an effective learner means you are effective in everything you do in some ways a teacher. Every teacher has to have the ability to learn from others in order to teach others. This idea comes same with needing to understand others before being understood in order to be that effective person. There is a quote that goes, " the biggest communication problem is we do not listen to understanding. We listen to reply".  I  think this quote shares another perspective in trying to say is that we need an open mind not a selfish conversation but an educational one.

Habit 6. synergize

Image result for harmony
Its very important to understand in order to be an effective person is to be able to cooperate with others. In this life there are about 7.442 billion people therefore we need to learn to work together. To synergize means to have the habit to create cooperation. A lot of times in order to get obtain an obstacle we need to work with others. In order to accomplish this one needs to be able and willing to share their personal experience and input it into the problem for a better solution. this process can take time to develop and learn. As one takes these actions they learn of vulnerability. There is a gift to be able to live in harmony with others. To be effective is easy but to be effective with others is a true growth and skill to take out of yourself.

Habit 7. Sharpen the saw
4 Dimension of self renewal

Image result for 4 dimensional objectsThe theoretical meaning of sharpening the saw is making the saw usable, stronger, and cut faster. The four areas to sharpen are physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.  Its important top sharpen the physical body so you can use your body withing your years. By doing so you are then ready for whatever may come to harm you physically with your strength. Within every thing you do physically you'l be able to do it effectively. A way to execute this habit would be to get in the habit of eating healthy and exercising.  The second dimension important to sharpen would be your mental state. When taking these steps you can be able to use you mind and conquer your goals. Ways to achieve this is getting the habit of doing hobbies that make you use your mind. The third dimension is the most important which is spiritual sharpening. Ways to achieve this is to have a sense of who you are and what you believe. Then if you decide you have to join a church and create a relationship with God. The reason for this because there is going to come a time when your life will feel like its awful through small and big barriers in life. A barrier is only a barrier if you let it. When you have a stable relation ship with God you will be able to know what words and actions to take to be able to overcome these barriers. Going to church and learning what your abilities are in the bible. By doing so your  working your spirit effectively making it stronger so when problems come you will stand firm.  The last but not least of the dimensions would be emotionally sharpening. In doing this action you can be able to use your emotions in a positive way and not negatively. You will be able to go through circumstances and not be emotionally tarnished. Four dimensions are strong objects and when you sharpen those four dimensions in your life in your life you yourself are strong.

Reflection

This activity I think is every good information to know in order to take that step into adult hood. Its a difficult trait to be an effective person but to learn it this early is crucial. This activity is helpful in two ways it helps student write with  different perspective. As well as adapting these skills. Due to the fact that it is not easy to do at times through this activity you learn to try to adapt what was learned into our own life.

The Importance of Setting Goals

Its always important to know the direction of the things you want but more important to know how to get there. A way to achieve just about everything is to set goals. These goals help establish a sturdy way for your to obtain those end results. Goals are the stepping stone to reach a certain understanding of ourselves on what we like and don't. Its important to make goals to find a direction of where we want our lives to go. Many who usually over see the importance of goals never reach any and float around in life without a drive.

Spoken Word:

whats the World coming to
everyone dipped in greed and want
taking away from where we come from.
soaking in cheer when others only see fear
hiding behind lies with a mask they call truth
Whats the World coming to.
speaking of standing up
when sitting down
saying you keep the faith
when you don't stand the ground
wanting to scrap the scum
when the damage reaches the core
Whats the World Coming to.
