Six Attitudes of High Achievers
1. Make No Small Plan ; Plan Big
When a person is striving to go upward and not downward either in their career, financially, or academically on must shoot for the stars. To shoot for the stars means not settling for something less than what you can achieve. Dreams and goals never get accomplished without a plan to go with it. A plan works as a stepping stone in which you can decide how big that stepping stone or your plan is going to be. We can also decide how much faith we have in being able to fulfill it  because no one is going to believe in you if you don't believe in yourself. JFK said something once that epitomizes the importance of plan and action when he said ,'' Efforts and courage" meaning your dreams  " are not enough without purpose and direction." Once we have a firm plan and passion your goal is  easily accomplished. As a student especially its  crucial to begin first a wanting and then a plan towards it. The size of that plan determines if and how long its going to take you to get there. This would be the mentality of someone who have high achievements.

2. Do What They Fear

High achievers must never fear in order to accomplish their goal. There's a difference between fear and prudence. Fear doesn't allow you to reach your full potential it doesn't enable you to be courageous. Although being prudent isn't fear at all its simply knowing when something is not beneficial to you physically or emotionally. It can be described as an act of assertion where fear is an act of being a cowardly. High achievers aspire to get to the top of the mountain of their goal even though they are afraid of heights. Fear is looking at that mountain and seeing its size and being intimidated by it.  Prudence is seeing its sharp peaks and walking up through a safer path. When being fearless and prudent means you climb the mountain either way but fear is you don't climb at all. Les Brown said  " To many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears." something high achievers need to remember and something fearful people need to learn. Fear is just another word for road block. To be a high achiever you must not let fear be a factor in your life or you will never accomplish your goal.

3. willing to prepare
A high achiever  and procrastinators  like water and oil can not mix. A leader will take responsibility to prepare. those who prepare themselves are ready. In order to reach high altitudes one has to be prepared for its dangers. Just like one needs a dream for it to be a goal one also needs a destination to get there. If you don't know how or what your going to do to reach the peak of a challenge odds are you wont achieve it without preparation. A good example of preparation at its best was seen in the bible when Noah built the ark but he build it when it was already raining was he? He prepared and due to that preparation he received the greatest outcome. Malcolm X once said " tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today". Just like the morning bird gets the worm the one who prepares is ready thats what matters. In order to execute something and fulfill something correctly you have to prepare. All you will get from being a procrastinator is fall behind from the race of life. Procrastinators never reach their full attention.

4.Willing to risk failure

Failure is a strong word that may be difficult to understand for those who strive to reach the peak of each challenge. Although a lot of people think that when you fail it means your a failure. Failing or falling is part of learning. something that many don't take in consideration that there are two ways to fall. One can either fall back or fall forward . To fall back is to fall and land on your tush without further movement or impulse to get back up. Falling forward means you fall but you continue the battle. These are the crucial points to take in when your striving to be a high achiever to know you can fall but to understand the importance of knowing one failure does not mean you yourself are one. Winston Churchill said," failure is not fatal its the courage to continue that counts".  Failing is not something you should be afraid its not even a risk. If you fail good you'll learn if you don't good you learned. Obstacles are opportunities to grow and learn. The one thing you shouldn't put yourself down for is being scared emotions are not controllable but our actions can be.  The way I see it a struggle can turn into something fun when you make it fun look at that mountain and enjoy the struggle because when you struggle you  can see the amount of care those who love you have for you.

5. Are  Teachable

Humility plays a big part in being taught something. This reason is because many high achievers due to the fact that they have gone above in beyond in different areas suddenly think they know it all. Continuing to be taught is key to reaching higher levels in order to accomplish your goal. When someone is  the reason you are not accomplishing your goal its hard but when its yourself the weight is unimaginable. Being teachable helps you not only reach your goal but go in a fast pace.  In order for a sword to get sharp it needs to be put through different things in order to achieve its potential. Its the same with letting yourself be taught is permitting yourself to learn to advance. Those who want to teach you is because they know something you don't and to permit them to teach you is letting yourself be molded for what that teacher has already been through. Euginia Herlihy  said ," those who have teachable spirits get wiser and wiser every day". Being teachable is like a head start to the race of life. When you are taught something you have the opportunity to reach higher altitudes not many who are not teachable will.

6. Have Heart
To have heart is to be compassionate, emphatic, and loving. High achievers are running a race that is life. In every race one race in particular the tortoise and the hare the rabbit didn't lose because he wasn't  fast he lost because of the bad heart he had. Life is a big race for people with goals and aspirations. A lot of those people are ambitious but not all have a good heart. In a world filled with corruption and hatred there needs to be those gems in life who have a good heart in order for the world to be balanced. Those who have a good heart are  those who keep this world fruitful. Dave Ramsey said , " we live in a world full of hares but the tortoise always wins".  We are all humans we are all basically the same but what will really define our differences is our hearts.  Heart is the seed for passion and a high achiever can not reach their goals without passion.

Reflection.:

The six attitudes was one of the many writing i like so far. It expresses the way we should approach the world. This writing was a reflection in each day in class that we as one should encourage each others. These six attitudes help one build themselves up to be a good hearted stable person. I enjoyed this activity because it was a way i could have the opportunity to examine myself. It also gave me comfort in who I am and how I see myself.

911 Terrorist Attack

When I remember what happened on September 11, 2001 I don't ask my self  "why?!" because I know why mankind can be evil. I don't ask myself  "where was God?!" because I know he was with those lives but you have to remember God has given us free will and those terrorists made a decision that millions witnessed. Should we repay them with the same coin? Its one thing to make to make justice and have those who deserve it pay but another to enforce that same loss unto other cultures and religions for it. There is a difference between vengeance and peace. Peace is obviously not obtained with genteelness if mankind where gentile . Peace is discipline and discipline doesn't cause destruction but order.

USC

I would love to attend USC in southern California  because my whole life I have  lived near its campus and had the example of student  to know what have the goal to be Trojan. I have come to understand that to attend USC  I have to have a good GPA , and test scores as well as my high school diploma. It was a bit alarming to me that tuition is around 60 to 50 thousand dollars but because I'm planning to have scholarships and not dorm it would be around 47 thousand dollars. USC offers 120 degrees. They specialize in medicine, law, performing arts, and science. I plan on attending USC because the jobs that I am  looking to apply to are all within California. Due to the reason that I live close to its campus is how i would save money and not dorm. I hope to major in criminal psychology at this college in which it would take me about 6 years to grad
